Help test The Blue•Print
Make a small book. Find what helps. Tell us what gets in the way.
We are developing tools that let authors write and publish with as much mentoring as they need. A small, supported trial will help us improve those tools through real projects and practical feedback.
Planning a limited beta trial. You can express interest now. Participation starts only after we agree the scope, support and terms with you in writing. Places are not yet confirmed.
For people with something to write
Trial author
Have notes, a draft or an idea for a short book? Work through the process with a Mentor and help us find where clearer instructions or better tools are needed.
- Begin with a manageable project: the proposed mini-book scope is up to ten chapters and 6,000 words.
- Try drafting, saving, previewing and responding to private feedback.
- Explore agreed imagery and AI audio as those production stages are tested.
- Review the finished work and choose whether it is published.
One author first, with at most two initial funded places. We intend to fund the agreed beta work through service credits. You will not need to buy credits or make a purchase to complete that agreed trial scope.
You bring your material, time to review it and feedback on the experience. We will agree a realistic pace together.

Trial Mentor
Practise guiding an author through a supported project. Learn the tools, explain the next step and help the author make informed choices.
- Learn author setup, private communication and publication management.
- Use AI to assist preparation, while checking its output and preserving the author's meaning.
- Practise reviewing changes and managing agreed image and audio work.
- Record time spent, unclear steps and problems so we can improve the service.
Initial work will be supervised, with responsibilities and access agreed before you begin. You will work only with records assigned to you.
This is an expression of interest, not a job offer. We will agree any training, work, expenses and payment arrangements in writing before participation. Paid work or future income is not guaranteed.

Agreed scope and costs
Your written offer will set out the book size, mentoring, production work and revisions included. Any work outside that scope needs a separate agreement; you can decline it.
Hosting explained upfront
Before you join, we will specify the included publishing and hosting period, any later renewal price and your options if you do not continue. Lifetime hosting is not promised.
Your work and your approval
You retain ownership of your original writing. We will explain any AI assistance and applicable image or voice terms. You review the work and decide whether to publish it.
Feedback without publicity obligations
Practical feedback is part of the trial. Testimonials, public case studies and promotional use require separate, optional permission.
Private until you choose publication
Drafts and feedback are for you and authorised staff. Please use ordinary sample material for testing and avoid sending sensitive personal records in an initial enquiry.
A trial you can discuss
We will explain what is ready, what is still being tested and how to report a problem or stop participating. Public copies already downloaded or cached elsewhere cannot be recalled.
A walkthrough we have tested
Meet Bob and Jack
Joint Effort Testing is a short demonstration using fictional author Bob Blackmore and test Mentor Jack Spat. It follows an enquiry through author access, a saved chapter, supporting pages, private review and author-controlled publication.
It is a workflow demonstration, rather than a completed ten-chapter client project. Image and audio production are further stages to test.
Interested in taking part?
Email registrations@the-blue-print.com. Tell us whether you are interested as an author, a Mentor or both, and briefly describe what you would like to learn or create. We can then discuss fit, availability and the proposed terms.
Expressing interest does not create an account, reserve a funded place or commit you to participating.
Could a trial author become a Mentor later?
Possibly. Someone who enjoys the process and develops the skills may be invited to discuss Mentor training and a supervised assignment. That is a separate decision based on suitability and available work. Becoming a Mentor or recruiting anyone is not a condition of the author trial.
Prefer to write independently? Read the do-it-yourself publishing guide. You can explore the public information before deciding whether to contact us.
